Well, guess we’re about to start one of the few eight-game series in NHL history, and between bitter rivals at that.  As far as tomorrow’s game at the Rock goes, anything other than a Ranger win before OT gives the Devils home-ice, which could mean an interesting final minute of regulation if the game is tied.

Other set matchups include Montreal-Boston in the East (either as the 1-8 or 2-7 series), Detroit-Nashville as the 1-8 series and Anaheim-Dallas as a brutal 4-5 series in the West.  And congratulations to Washington who’s clinched the Southeast division and 3rd seed in the East!  The rest will be determined from the games tonight and tomorrow.  I’m sure Derek will have more on the playoffs and update when he can since I’ll be at the Rock betting the under (which should be at 2) on both teams’ total goals for the game.
