BoNY Exclusive: It’s all coming together…

July 30, 2008   ·   Adam   ·   Jump to comments

Here it is, our first peek at the Devils’ new sculpture for the Prudential Center:

This here is the right hand of the sculpture before it’s final assembly.

Following up on the story a few weeks ago, Jon Krawczyk has sent me some photos of his most recent work involving his favorite NHL team: The New Jersey Devils.

A former resident of Boonton Twp, Jon now lives in Malibu, California working as a professional sculptor.  His most recently assembled creation, which shows a hockey player taking a slap shot is constructed from polished stainless steel, and will stand close to 3 stories tall.  It will be sited at the corner of Mulberry St. and Edison Pl. in Newark (the corner closest to Newark Penn Station).

I will post more photos every few days in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned.

Also, you can view the rest of Jon’s work here at his website: site
