USA trailing Slovakia 3-1 after 2

January 2, 2009   ·     ·   Jump to comments

So far, the story has been Slovakian netminder Jaroslav Janus who has stood on his head through two periods thwarting Team USA with big save after big save despite his team getting badly outplayed.

None of that matters at the moment as Slovakia scored three times on American goalie Thomas McCollum in the first and lead 3-1 in the do-or-die quarterfinal in Ottawa with a period left. They’re underway and it hasn’t changed yet.

This would be very demoralizing for USA Hockey if they don’t comeback. I’ll be back later with an update.
