With the news now official on former Lightning coach John Tortorella agreeing to a contract with GM Glen Sather to become the new Ranger head man, I’m taking a few minutes to discuss the coaching shakeup and what impact it could have.
Can the much tougher style of the one-time Ranger assistant who guided the Lightning to a Stanley Cup pay off with only 21 games left in a heated playoff race?
I’ll be giving my insight as well as a couple of minutes on the Isles’ deal with Ottawa that shipped Mike Comrie and Chris Campoli off the Island for vet Dean McAmmond and the rights to San Jose’s 2009 first round pick.
Update: I wound up going half an hour also getting into the Isles-Sens deal and a little other league stuff. So, if you check out the archive below, it’s 30 minutes long.
