Devils pre-season games set

About two and a half weeks before their regular season begins on October 3, the Devils will begin their preseason schedule at the Rock on September 16 against the Rangers.  For some reason this’ll be the only Devil-Ranger preseason game, usually we play home-and-homes with the Rangers, Isles and Flyers but this year with just five preseason games there’s no road game at the Garden.

Also for some odd reason there’s a week-long break before the Devils’ next preseason game at Long Island on the 23rd, followed by a game in Philly the next night, then two more home games to finish off the five-game preseason - against Philly on the 26th and the Isles on the 29th.  Every game begins at 7 PM.
