Lundqvist in minor fender bender

October 27, 2009   ·     ·   Jump to comments

Earlier this morning, Ranger goalie Henrik Lundqvist got into an accident while driving to Greenburgh for practice which he missed. Fortunately, it was only a minor fender bender with his car slipping due to rainy conditions and hitting the guard rail.

Lundqvist is okay. Hopefully, he learned a little something here because in such weather, you have to drive more cautiously. Though try telling that to all the yo yos who zip by ya like it’s nothing. It pays to gently hit the brake every once in a while. That way you’re at less risk.

Between this incident and the status of Marian Gaborik even if it doesn’t sound serious following his knee on knee collision with Petr Prucha, it’s enough to drive Ranger fans nuts. Those are our two best players. If anything happened to either, we’d be put in a bind. Especially the franchise goalie.

We’ll see if both play tomorrow night versus the Islanders.
