Byers still not in St. Paul

October 30, 2009   ·     ·   Jump to comments

As we already documented, the Rangers are shorthanded for tonight’s clash with Minnesota in St. Paul. Minus top scorer Marian Gaborik, Sean Avery and Christopher Higgins, they recalled rugged forward Dane Byers from Hartford.

The trouble is his plane hasn’t landed yet per MSG’s Bill Pidto during the pregame. It was supposed to land 40 minutes ago. Hopefully, everything’s alright. That’s the most important thing here. When you lead in with an interview with company man John Giannone talking to Aaron Voros as if he’s gonna replace Gaborik, it’s never a good sign. But now, it looks like the club will be a man down unless Byers magically appears.

Let’s just hope Byers is alright along with everyone else on that flight.
