Busy Battle Saturday

November 14, 2009   ·   Derek Felix   ·   Jump to comments

It’s another hockey Saturday. Unless you care about the overrated Buckeyes squeaking out a win over Iowa for the Rose Bowl, it’s all puck tonight. The Rangers already got it off to a good start with a 2-1 shootout win in Ottawa.

The Devils host the Caps minus Ovechkin at The Rock with faceoff coming up. Can they make it eight in a row? The Islanders look to make it two straight on back-to-backs versus the Southeast, this time visiting Florida. John Tavares leads all rookies with seven goals, fresh off his two-goal performance in Candy Cane country. Also in action again are the Sabres, who edged the Flames in a shootout thanks to Jason Pominville and Ryan Miller’s continued brilliance in net. The Flyers have owned them recently, including a blowout win. Can the Sabres finally turn the tables in a rematch on Broad Street?

It all gets underway now. So, tune in!
